Course Requirements:

¯   Each participant will be required to present 3 musical items to

    the group, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the teaching

    points explored in the course.

¯   A willingness to actively participate

¯   No musical experience necessary.

¯   Suitable for music teachers with a  wealth of experience.

Each participant will receive a certificate to acknowledge completion of the course.        

At our  Music Workshops for adults working with young children, learn how to:

¯  Create meaningful, sequential, developmentally appropriate music programs for young children with evaluation criteria

¯  Develop confidence in your own musical and vocal ability

¯  Extend your song and game repertoire

¯  Understand music literacy

¯  Use instruments appropriately in your program

¯  Help children sing in tune with confidence

During the course:

¯  Each participant will be offered a wealth of new material and ideas, supported by a workable educational philosophy

¯  We will build a resource file of exciting, fun material including songs, dances and games

¯  We will build confidence on using our singing voices

¯  We will understand vocal health techniques

¯  We will explore the application of percussive and melodic instruments for classroom use

Course Presenter:

 

Anna Mlynek-Kalman has taught and directed music programs with children from k-year 12 for over 20 years at many schools both here in Australia and overseas. During this time, she has presented workshops with the Victorian Orff Schulwerk Association, the Kodaly Music Institutes, the Suzuki Talent Education Association, Lady Gowrie, the Child Care Centres Association of Victoria and the Family Day Care Association of Australia, and a variety of adult groups. She completed a Masters Degree in Music Education with a Kodaly emphasis in the United States. She has recently produced a series of Cds for children and published Teacher's Manuals.  entitled:

There's a Rainbow in my Garden! (beautifully rerecorded… if you have purchased my original cd call me, send it back and I will replace it with the new recording… no cost!
